    So summer was full, but I am back on track reading the book now! Read chapter 2 on Sunday. I love the analogy of the author Thomas Aquinas gives....how his marvelous writings are but straw compared to the vision God gave him!
    Wow. This chapter truly made me think about how much more I have to seek to know him in all his splendor!

Gender Without Rival

Hello friends! Summer has kept us all away from our screens it seems - myself included! This is a wonderful thing. If you do get the chance to read chapter six - Gender Without Rival - please share your thoughts here by commenting. I grew up attending a conservative Baptist Church - and I've discussed the issue of the roles of men and women many times. I appreciate this quote from this chapter - "Male and female were created to be separate in expression but never to be divided in purpose." I do love acknowledging what is unique about men and women - while at the same time building unity in heart and purpose for the Kingdom of God. What were your thoughts?
